[Classes 12 (i) and 144 (i)] A ball or roller bearing for an axle passing through a member comprises a groove in the axle forming the inner race and a pair of plates embracing the member and forming the outer race. The axle 12 carries a pair of wheels and has a groove 14 for balls or rollers 15 engaged by plates 19, 20 which embrace a support 13. Two sets of balls or rollers may be used with three plates and two grooves in the axle. According to the Provisional Specification, shims may be used to adjust for wear.
