528,648. Ball and roller bearings. HOFFMANN MANUFACTURING CO., Ltd. (Hoffmann Bearings Corporation, N.). May 11, 1939, No. 14055. [Class 12 (i)] In a ball or roller bearing a resilient enveloping member 15 extends over to enclose the outer race ring 11 and presses against the inner race ring 10. As shown, the member 15 bears on the outer peripheral surface of the ring 10, and grooves 21, 22 for oil are formed therein. The periphery of the member 15 may be conical or grooved or covered by a metallic member.
