Abstract

607,075. Pliers. KANTOROWICZ, O. P. T. Jan. 25, 1946, No. 2448. [Class 61 (ii)] Insulation stripping pliers comprise a pair of pivoted levers 1, 2 and cutting knives 3 which may be adjustably connected to the levers by means of eccentrics 4 and are provided with stripping notches 6, wire cutting edges 7 and overlapped edges 8, one lever having a scale 17 of conductor sizes and the other lever a slider 9 set to limit the approach of the levers according to the size of conductor being stripped. The screw bolt connection of the levers includes a flanged threaded bush 19, a spring washer 20 held against rotation thereon by notches 22 engaging projections 21 and a screw bolt 23 locked with the bush by deforming parts of a collar 24 into grooves 25 in the end of the bolt.
