746,270. Earthing rods. PORTER ELECTRICAL PRODUCTS, Ltd. Dec. 29, 1953 [Dec. 31, 1952], No. 24690/55. Divided out of 746,180. Class 36. An earthing rod 1 is D-shaped in cross-section and has a point 2 at one end which may be provided on an initially separate tip 3 which is attached to the rod 1 by a screw 4. An iron driving block 5 may be clamped to the rod and moved along it as the rod is driven into the earth. To connect a flat conductor to the rod, a clamp 10, constructed as disclosed in the Specification 746,180, is secured to the rod. Specifications 565,434 and 576,491 are referred to.
