[Class 135] [Also in Group XXVI] The throttle valve of an engine is controlled by a centrifugal governor. The rotor body of the governor has a passage j controlled by the seating q on the governor weight g. The weight is loaded by the adjustable spring h. When the limiting speed is exceeded, the passage j is opened and the pressure in the operating cylinder n (Fig. 3) falls, moving the piston y into the pipe s by the fluid pressure remaining in the piper. The pressure generated in the pipe s is communicated to an operating device on the throttle valve, closing this.
