Abstract

605,520. Glazing windows. CRITTALL MANUFACTURING CO.. Ltd., and RICHARDSON, H. A. Dec. 27, 1945, No. 35007. [Class 20(iii)] A window frame beading consists of four strips 3 formed at each side with an inwardly projecting flange 4 providing internal dovetails which act as abutments for spring clips slidden in from one end. When the beading and clips are positioned as a unit with respect to the frame, the spring action of the clips acts through the beading to secure the glass in position. A hook-like projection 7 of the clips is sprung through an elongated hole 8 in the frame and their free limbs 5 secure the glazing 1 in putty 6, correct spacing being obtained by means of stops 9. The beading strips may abut to give a mitred apearance, or corner members 10 may be employed.
