Abstract

604,576. Centrifugal clutches. WEISSBERG, J. Nov. 28, 1945, No. 32084. [Class 80 (ii)] In a centrifugal clutch the driving and driven shafts are connected to two elements 1, 2, the element 1 being contained within a cylindrical casing 5 of the element 2 and having a diametrical slot 4 which locates the ribs 9 of two segmental shoes 8 restrained against small centrifugal forces by springs 10. The element 1 is substantially centered by a screw 12 and by a coverplate 6 on the element 2.
