602,640. Check valves. ELECTROL, Inc. Nov. 1, 1945, No. 29061. Convention date, Dec. 1, 1944. [Class 135] A double check valve, connected to an air filter 15 by a detachable coupling 14 and to the storage receptacle of a hydraulic system by a conduit or coupling screwed into a threaded portion 11a of the valve casing, is provided with a byepass port 13 and two thin flat non- circular valve members 18, 21, spring loaded to seat on resilient sealing rings mounted in grooves in the inner face of the coupling 14 and the outer face of the byepass port 13 respectively. The valve members are, e.g. of metal or synthetic resin. In operation, the valve permits air to pass from the filter to the storage receptacle, but byepasses any reverse flow and thus prevents hydraulic fluid entering the filter.
