Abstract
600,375. Reciprocating motors. CHRISTENSEN, F. Oct. 2, 1945, No. 25498. Convention date, Oct. 3, 1944. [Class 35] [Also in Group XXXVII] In an arrangement specially adapted for supplying impulses to the primary of a transformer, the secondary of which serves to electrify a fence, a mercury switch 10 and an armature 20 mounted above it are supported on springs 14 and caused to oscillate in the manner of a metronome. When the magnet 22 is energized, the mercury switch 10 tilts and the magnet circuit is broken. The springs 14 then restore the switch and the circuit is re-made, so that the cycle is repeated.
