Abstract

599,002. Thrashing-machines. PARSONS, B. Sept. 17, 1945, No. 23950. [Class 58] In a thrashing-machine the dust and cavings are discharged from a riddle 10 and pass through a shoot 12 to a trough 13 which also receives dust blown from the grain sieves 14 by the fan 15. A rotary blower 3 withdraws the dust and cavings and discharges them through a conduit 20 at a distance from the machine. A baffle 18 prevents air from the fan 15 holding back the cavings in the shoot 12. The forward section of the shoot 12 is removable to allow the wheels 19 to turn when the machine is in transit. Existing machines may be adapted according to the invention.
