Abstract
598,077. Hinges. DUNN, I. June 14, 1945, No. 15135. [Class 65 (ii)] A door is mounted on a pair of hinges comprising respectively a pin g, with a spherical enlargement in the middle, entering sockets c, d on the frame and door, and a ball h held between socket members k, i carried by the door and frame, the socket member i being adjustable by a screw j. In the form shown, both socket members k, i are formed as cup-headed pins fitting in sockets on the door and frame ; in a modification, the member i may be dispensed with and the ball h formed integral with a pin entering the socket f on the frame, and in this form the pin may be screwed into the socket f. The member i or the pin replacing it may rest on a spring above the screw j. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 7827/01, [Class 65], and 430,037.
