Abstract

623,682. Spectacle frames. CAMPBELL, D. W. S. May 12, 1947, No. 12758. [Class 97 (i)] To provide a universal joint instead of the usual temple hinge, each side arm 7 carries a ball 5 engaging a socket 1 connected to the frame 3 to permit limited movement, a spring 4 pressing the ball against the end of the socket to retain the arm in its adjusted position. The ball may be screwed to the reinforcing wire 6 of the side arm.
