Abstract
598,076. Regenerators &c. SEAVER, J. J. May 31, 1945, No. 13659. [Class 64 (i)] In a regenerative furnace, stove or the like, a circumferentially and longitudinally continuous tube B open at each end is located coaxially in a vertical flue a with all or part of the exterior surface of the tube spaced from the flue walls. The inner and/or outer surfaces of the tube B may be of plain circular form, or ribbed, fluted or corrugated. In one form the tube is cylindrical and has four equally spaced longitudinal ribs. Alternatively, the tube cross-section may be of square or other geometric shape.
