Abstract

598,018. Pulleys. ALLAN, R. K., and SKEFKO BALL BEARING CO., Ltd. Aug. 28, 1945, No. 22167. [Class 80(i)] [Also in Group XXXIV] A mounting for a plastic pulley comprises a ball bearing, the outer race 21 of which is secured to the pulley hub 12 by moulding the plastic round it, and the inner race 20 is mounted between an enlarged part 16 of a non-rotary hollow spindle 15 and the flanged end 19 of the spindle. The spindle 15 extends through a bracket 10 and is locked thereto by nuts 17, 24, the latter closing the end of the spindle. A dust cover 14, and caps 22 for grease which may be introduced through the spindle 15, are provided. Specifications 488,295, [Group V], 492,117, and U.S.A. Specification 2,039,875 are referred to.
