Abstract

634,937. Tops. RIESEN & CO., F. June 24, 1947, No. 16670. Convention date, June 30, 1945. [Class 132 (iii)] A top has a part by which it is spun manually and a separate base suitably shaped to be held in one hand and providing a bowl in which the top may spin, the body of the top and the base being of such size and shape that they fit one upon the other like a box and its lid when not in use. As shown, the top comprises a body 3 with a rim 4, part 6 by which it is spun and a head 2 on which it spins. The bowl I is formed in the end of a cylindrical base 5 and has a rim 7 which fits within the rim of the top when the top is inverted. There may be a bowl at both ends of the cylinder and the top may be thrown in the air and caught while spinning.
