596,780. Fluid-pressure servomotorcontrol systems ; valves. WAHLMARK. G. A. March 14, 1944, No. 4722. [Class 135] In a multi-cylinder reciprocating pump or motor in which the pistons 27 are actuated by wobbler 12, the wobbler is adjusted by a finger 70 attached to a cylinder 69 sliding on a piston 67 secured to the shaft 40. The fluid pressure to each side of the piston 67 is controlled by a valve 91 connected to a rod 92 that can be moved manually or otherwise. Surrounding the valve 91 is a ported sleeve that is in two parts 84, 85 and the adjacent ends are slotted and exposed to the pressure fluid supplied through port 82 so that the two parts are separated by the fluid pressure acting on each. A sleeve 57 slides on the pump body and engages the wobliler being forced against it by fluid pressure supplied to the chamber 62 ; the sleeve moves to the left, as shown in Fig. 1, for movements of the wobbler in both directions from the neutral position. A block 99 mounted on the sleeve 57 engages the arm 98 of a threearmed lever, one arm 97 abutting the valve sleeve 85 and the other arm 100 engaging the arm 101 of a bell-crank, the other arm 104 of which abuts the valve sleeve 84. Pressure fluid is supplied by the pump 13 and when the control valve 91 is moved in either direction, pressure fluid is supplied to the appropriate side of the piston 67 and the wobbler adjusted. The block 99 is moved and the sleeve valve parts 84, 85 separate, one part following the valve 91 to close the pressure fluid supply to the cylinder 69 and the other part increasing the opening of the exhaust from the other end of the cylinder 69.
