Abstract

594,216. Bucket-elevator apparatus. HICKS, W. H. June 29, 1945, No. 16599. [Class 102 (ii)] A water-elevator comprises an open-topped tank into which the top wheel dips. The wheel incorporates two spaced discs 1 secured on the rotating horizontal shaft 2 and a plurality of bars 14 secured to each disc, opposite bars being connected by cross-bar frames 15, 151 which constitute a wheel rim. An endless conveyer provided with buckets 20 is trained over the top wheel. The apparatus may be modified to be manually driven through gearing, or animal driven.
