Abstract

593,302. Liquid dispensers. BONNAUD, H. M. Jan. 8, 1947, No. 14483/45. [Class 106 (v)] A device for delivering measured quantities of liquid from a container, such as a bottle, comprising a measuring chamber a of glass or other transparent material provided with end caps c and l, is operated by a vertically sliding plunger p having two or more passages v to enable liquid to discharge from one of these passages and air to enter through another. The bottom cap e contains a resilient sealing ring h which also provides a seating for the head of the plunger p. The top cap c has a similar ring h and is provided with an adaptor l and a cork sleeve g for connection to the bottle. The caps c and may be made of a plastic material of any colour. The plunger p is fitted with an anti-airlock blade w working in the adaptor stem and is provided at the bottom with a bucket member r and resilient operating arms u for contact with the receiving vessel. The capacity of the measuring chamber is determined by the size of the plunger head which is suitably marked. An arm k is provided for readily mounting the device.
