Abstract

506,315. Bottles &c. ; stoppers &c. LERP, W. Aug. 29, 1938, No. 25298. [Classes 125 (i) and 125 (iii)] A liquid container, especially a vacuum flask, has a pouring device consisting of a plug or cork 1, Fig. 2, and a device 2 with a diaphragm 6, Fig. 3, having two openings 7, 8 arranged side by side. The area of the opening 7 above a cross line 9 is preferably equal to the combined outlet areas below it. Notches 10 are indications to which the flask is tilted edgeways to allow the best position for pouring. The member 2 has external screw threads 14 and shoulders 11 to engage the cork 1. The member 2 may have a non-resilient cap, or alternatively as in Fig. 4, a resilient rubber cap 4.
