Abstract
592,873. Diaphragms. MULLARD RADIO VALVE CO., Ltd., and KEDDIE, J. E. April 25, 1945, No. 10397. [Class 40 (iv)] The characteristics of an electro-acoustic apparatus, e.g. a loud-speaker, are modified by driving the diaphragm while it is in a semiplastic state and continuing to do so until it assumes the rigid state. By suitable choice of driving frequencies either the resonant frequency of the diaphragm may be changed, or if desired, its overall frequency response may be modified.
