Abstract

592,864. Cartons. WESSELMAN, A. March 9, 1945, No. 5935. [Class 18] A carton for bottles comprises a base 13, side walls 14 and converging top panels 17 having bottle-receiving apertures 26 extending across them. Partitions 23, 24 extend inwardly of the side walls and are formed by the material removed to form the apertures 26, each such flap so provided being scored transversely at two spaced places to form transversely extending portions ; the centre portion 25 remains connected to the upper edge of the corresponding side wall and is folded to rest against the inner wall thereof. A separate handle 171 may be inserted through slots 30 in the top panels 17, or alternatively a handle may be formed integrally with the carton. One of the panels 17 may be extended to form a central partition 29. Specification 537,006 is referred to.
