Abstract
591,572. Washing boilers. PILKINGTON, W. May 14, 1945, No. 12006. [Class 64 (i)] The sides and top portion of the casing A of a domestic washing boiler are formed as an integral unit from a single sheet of metal, the upper end of the casing being bent inwards and downwards to form the top surround a the inner edge of which is flanged vertically downwards, and the upper edge of the pan B is riveted, bolted, or otherwise secured to the flange a' so formed. The casing is square or rectangular in plan, and the pan is similarly square or rectangular at the top and gradually changes in cross-section downwardly to circular at the bottom.
