Abstract

658,685. Electric wash boilers. CLEGG, C. March 9,1949, No. 6389. [Class 39(iii)] An externally heated wash-boiler A has suspended below its base a and to one side' a multisided vessel B having an electric heating element C clamped to the outside of each side of the vessel B, water heated therein passing into the boiler A, and cool water returning to the vessel B by a pipe B<SP>1</SP> leading from the other .side of the boiler A to the vessel B. The elements C are secured by screws c to a ring c<SP>1</SP> surrounding the elements. The vessel B is attached by studs.f to a flange b<SP>1</SP> on a recessed opening a<SP>1</SP> in the base a, the pipe B<SP>1</SP> joining the bottom of the vessel B to a nipple A<SP>1</SP> received in a second recess a<SP>3</SP> in the base a.
