Abstract
625,496. Steam boilers. STEEN, C. A. July 31, 1947, No. 20840. [Class 123(ii)] In a steam generator, not shown, preferably electrically heated, which is connected to an expansion vessel 4 by a pipe 5 provided with a check valve 1, 3 permitting flow of water only to said vessel 4, the water returns through a channel of reduced area, e.g. a fine hole in the valve 3 or an external pipe having a constriction therein, which is maintained clear by cleaning needle 2. The needle 2 may be fixed to the valve casing 1 or to a yoke in the vessel 4, or, alternatively, is connected to a float in the latter.
