Abstract

590,860. Check valves. TRICO PRODUCTS CORPORATION. April 23,1945, No. 10206. Convention date, May 25, 1944. [Class 135] A check valve comprises casing sections 1, 4 with interfitting marginal portions with one section carrying a valve seat 3, and the valve closure member is moulded in one piece from rubber &c., and comprises a disc-like part 7 engageable with the seat and an encircling web with its margin clamped between the casing sections, the margin and the part 7 being substantially co-planar and the web 8 'being permanently arched away from the valve seat to permit sideways play of the closure member. The fluid flows through apertures in the web. The valve shown may be employed with a windshield wiper. The part 7 is backed by a metal or plastic disc 14 which is held on by passing a stem 15 on the part 7 through a relatively smaller hole in the disc. Stem 15 passes-into the outlet port 17,and so limits lateral play in the valve whilst the axial movement is limited by projections 11 on the casing.:
