Abstract

685,200. Non-return valves. ELECTROHYDRAULICS, Ltd., and BURNS, R. H. Feb. 14, 1949 [March 8, 1948], No. 673/48. Class 135. A non-return valve with external threads 3 for connection in a pipe line comprises a slidable valve carrier 24 having a rubber valve closure member 25 and loaded by a spring 27 having an abutment on a bored plug 5 which has a frictional fit within the body of the valve. The plug 5 is maintained in position by the connection with the pipe line and may also be provided with an annular groove 30 into which part of the material of the body is punched as at 31. A sealing ring 23 is fitted on the plug.
