590,348. Face powder boxes. RIPPER, H. and JOLIETTE, Ltd. Dec. 19, 1944, No. 25477. [Class 18] A box for face powder has an outer lid 1 hinged to the body 6 and having a mirror on its inner surface, an inner lid 10 which when closed lies between the mirror and the powder and which is hinged to the body 6 about an axis at an angle to the hinging axis of. the outer lid, and a link 13 connecting the two lids so that when the outer lid is opened, the inner lid is also raised. The link may, as shown, be rigid and so disposed that closing pressure on the outer lid effects closure of the inner lid. Alternatively, the link may be flexible, for example, a chain. The link may be so arranged that when the outer lid is fully open, the inner lid is perpendicular to the body.
