608,343. Boxes. CONTINENTAL CAN CO., Inc. Feb. 20, 1946, No. 5335. Convention date, Feb. 21, 1945. [Class 18] A metal box suitable for dispensing tablets comprises a body and a cover, the cover being hinged to the body. by pintles to move up recesses 9. The recesses are large enough to enable the pintles to move up and down within them. The side walls of the body are cut away to provide a fulcrum 12 whereby the cover may be raised clear of a dispensing opening 13 by pressure on the rear of the box. The movement of the cover above the wall 3 of the body is prevented by detents 15 sliding in elongated recesses 14 and the cover is held in the closed position by a detent 17 engaging a recess 18 in the cover. The cover is cut away at the rear wall so that the box may be opened for re-filling by forcing the detents 15 clear of the recesses 14 and turning the cover about the pintles 10.
