587,336. Cardboard &c. boxes. CHALMERS, J. W., and MOLINS MACHINE CO., Ltd. Jan. 5, 1945, No. 501. [Class 18] In a cardboard &c. box in which a free edge 49, Fig. 1, of the lid abuts an edge 149 of the body, a part 150 of the wall of the body projects from its free edge so that it may lie against either the inside or the outside of the front wall of the lid. With a tight lid the part 150 is arranged inside to facilitate opening. With a loose lid it is arranged outside to help keep it closed. A thickened portion 132 may be arranged on the lid to facilitate opening. The blank from which the container is made is shown in Fig. 2. A liner 100 is used. Specifications 507,998 and 587,337 are referred to.
