[Class 106 (ii)] A device for adjusting measuring instruments to a predetermined dimension comprises fixed gauge blocks 2 arranged laterally of a scale 3. A gauge block 4 is clamped to one of the fixed blocks 2 by means of a clamp 5. If the instrument 7 which has to be adjusted has to be set to an intermediate value, other blocks (not shown) may be fitted between the instrument and the block 4.
