Abstract
590,082. Hot water supply systems. LIMBERT, L. Feb. 1, 1945, No. 2512. [Class 64 (i)] A hot water storage and supply tank is divided into compartments 2, 3, 4 by walls 6 with air insulation spaces, the boiler flow and return pipes 13 and hot water supply pipe 14 being connected to the hot water compartment 4 and the cold water feed 7 to another compartment 2, and there being a secondary compartment 3 through which the cold water passing from the cold feed compartment 2 to the hot water compartment 4 must flow. The cold water enters the compartment 3 through a horizontal pipe 9 with a vertical extension 10 open at its lower end near the bottom of the compartment 3, and passes into the hot water compartment 4 through a horizontal pipe 12. The ball cock may be mounted in an auxiliary feed tank which supplies the compartment 2. According to the Provisional Specification, the secondary compartment is arranged between the two other compartments.
