589,419. Sack cleaners. GUDEL, S. March 22, 1945, No. 7276. [Class 138 (i)] A sack cleaner comprises a box 1, in which is a ladder-like, sackbeating frame 10, which reciprocates through the smaller of two bails 8, 9, which serve to hold sacks of different sizes. The frame is pivoted to one end of a pair of rods 11 secured to a beam 12 rotatably mounted in the box and having an arm 13 connected by a rod 14 to an operating handle 16. A stop device holds the frame in the plane of the bails while inserting a sack. The dust falls on to a sieve 5 which is reciprocated over a drawer 4, being moved in one direction by the engagement of a rod 17 on the beam 12 with projections 7 on the sieve, and in the other direction by a spring 6.
