[Class 83 (iii)] [Also in Group XIX] In an expanding reamer, milling-cutter or gauge of the kind having a hollow body A with operative edges C which may be expanded by a cone or wedge D, the body is slit axially to allow expansion and the cone D is carried by a stem E passing through the body and engaging an adjusting nut F which is enclosed by a cap or handle H so that adjustment cannot be effected unless the handle is removed. The handle is screwed to the body at K and may abut on a locking nut G for the nut F.
