Abstract

585,971. Lubricators. WRIGHT, H. CLAYTON-. Sept. 6, 1944, No. 17031. [Class 12 (iii)] [Also in Group XXXVI] A device for maintaining a battery terminal in an oiled or greased condition comprises a felt or other absorbent washer 2 mounted on a perforated plate 1 which fits over the terminal lug of the battery and is moulded in one piece with an oil-reservoir 3 having an internal partition to form a channel through which a wick 5 passes to the exterior of the reservoir where it surrounds the washer 2. The washer is held in position by a flange 10 on the plate 1 and by projections on the plate which pierce the washer. The reservoir is covered with a gauze-lined cap having an opening 8 through which the reservoir is filled.
