A seating washer b<1> for the upper edge of the piston is provided within the top of the bell. As shown, the cover d<2> is adjustably screwed into the base a and is formed with one or more longitudinal grooves d<3> adapted to be engaged by a tongue formed on a spring ring r housed in a circumferential groove on the base a. An auxiliary tell-tale device as described in Specification 314,934 may be fitted. Specification 281,764 also is referred to.
