748,477. Lubricating nipples. TECALEMIT, Ltd. Oct. 5, 1954 [Dec. 10, 1953], No. 34482/53. Class 12 (3). A nipple adapted to be used with a grease gun comprises a body 1 containing a valve 13, a thrust-member 15 and a spring 14. The body 1 has an opening 12 surrounded by an annular seat 11 against which the valve is pressed by the thrust member urged by the spring 14. The valve is shown as a ball valve but it may be a member of conical or frusto-conical section. The thrust member is formed of a length of wire or thin rod with enlarged ends forming abutments for the valve 13 and spring 14. Specification 727,272 is referred to.
