Abstract

206,749. Davis, W. W. Jan. 15, 1923. Force-feed lubricators. -The plunger of a grease cup is provided with a packing member comprising a flanged thin flexible unperforated metallic disc 9 rotatably connected to the plunger. The centre portion of the disc 9 is raised at 11 and clinched at 12 over a metallic disc 13 which is flanged and turned over at 14 to form a swivel connection with a metal disc 15 which is secured to the lower end of the screwed plunger rod 4. The centre portion of the disc 15 is raised at 17 to accommodate the raised part 11 of the disc 9. The flange 10 of the disc 9 is tapered slightly. The cap 2 of the cup has a chamber 19 to receive the plunger assembly when in its retracted position, and the upper end of the cup may be tapered as shown dotted at 20.
