Abstract

Advertising on vehicle wheels. - An advertising element for attachment to the axle of a moving vehicle comprises a conical member 6 dished at 6<a> and carrying a removable cover plate 9. When applied to a live axle, Fig. 4, the dished portion 6<a> carries a member 7a forming the outer race of a ball bearing the inner race being mounted on a sleeve 8 screwed on to the axle. When applied to a fixed axle, Fig. 5, the portion 6a is secured to the axle by nuts 13 and a cup-shaped leather washer 14. The device for a live axle may be centred by a projection, not shown, on the cover plate 9 arranged to engage a recess in the axle; or the projection may be replaced' 'by a ball.
