Abstract
592,623. Switch cases. ROTAX, Ltd., and LEVY, J. Nov. 6, 1944, No. 21729. [Class 38(v)] Inside an ignition distributor housing is placed a porous body, e.g. a pad of felt, impregnated with a mixture containing turpentine to absorb the corrosive gases formed therein. The mixture may also contain urea, oleic acid and/or manganese dioxide, together with a suitable indicator to show when the absorbent substance is exhausted. Alternative mixtures are described. If the porous body is subject to centrifugal action it may be partially coated with wax or metal to retain the absorbent mixture.
