585,041. Bearings. PESCO. PRODUCTS CO. June 23, 1944, No. 11983. 'Convention date, June 26, 1943. [Class 12 (i)] [Also in Group XXVI] The rotors 12 of a gear pump are journalled in two flanged bearings 38, 46, the flanges of which abut against side faces of the rotors to provide a seal between the inlet 16 and outlet 18. The bearing 46 is movable axially, and is pressed into contact with the rotor by fluid at delivery pressure acting in an annular channel 48. Additional pressure is applied by a spring 58. Fluid sealing is provided at 40 and 56. Both bearings may be movable.
