5 8 2 , 7 0 4 . Fuel tanks. BOULTON PAUL AIRCRAFT, Ltd., and NORTH, J. D. June 9, 1945, No. 14650. [Class 4] An aircraft fuel tank 4 is carried in the wing section 1 attached to fuselage 3, the outer wing section 2 being hinged to' the inner section 1 so as to be rotatable upwardly to the position shown in order to allow access to the tank. The wing ribs 15 are apertured to receive the tank, which is provided with spigots 16 received in sockets 19 formed in the inner rib 18 ; the outer end of the tank carries a block 28 pivotally connected to a cover-plate attached to end rib 25. Locking bolts for the two wing parts taking into apertured lugs 8, 9 are operated by a telescoping rod mounted in the outer wing part 2.
