[Class 120 (ii)] An automatic locking device for the setting-on rod A of a spinning mule comprises a spring- controlled latch C mounted in a bracket D on the rod A, the free end'c of the latch C projecting into a space, b of a fixed bracket B when the rod A is in the "off" position, to prevent movement of the rod, until a bar F, extending nearly to the strap fork end, is grasped by the operator to move a pivoted finger E to withdraw the latch and allow the rod A to be raised to move to the "on" position.
