[Class 64 (i)] [Also in Groups VIII and XXIX] A draining tap for an enclosed domestic washing boiler or machine 4 is made in sections, one of which 5, carrying the valve, is fixed to the bottom of the pan and lies wholly within the casing, while the other section 9 has a pivotal connection with it and forms a combined outlet spout for the tap and a handle by which the valve is operated. When turned to the position for opening the valve, the pivotal section projects' through a slot 6a provided in the casing and when turned to the valve closing position it makes a flush closure with the slot. The valve is of the plug type and its axis may be vertical instead of horizontal, as shown.
