Abstract

579,960. Hydraulic recuperators. NASH, A. F. Sept. 13, 1935, No. 25504. [Class 69 (ii)] A recuperator, in a conduit leading pressure liquid from a servomotor to the actuating pump associated therewith, comprises two chambers 9, 10 arranged one below the other, and shown as formed by a partition 4 in a tube 1, liquid being delivered into the lower chamber 9 where it is adapted to raise a plunger 11 against the action of a spring 21 until a cotter 26 on a lift valve 27 is engaged by the partition to open the valve and permit liquid to flow through apertures 30, 31 in the valve seating 29 and head 12 of the plunger 11 into a tube 7 housing the spring 21, the liquid overflowing through upper ports 33 into the chamber 10 whence a hand pump 43, 40 is adapted to deliver it back to the chamber 9. Excessive pressure in the system opens a relief valve 58 to discharge liquid directly into the chamber 9.
