579,957. Switch contacts. AKT.-GES. BROWN, BOVERI, & CIE. Jan. 8, 1945, No. 671. Convention date, Dec. 27, 1943. [Class 38 (v)] A power-current switch contact consists of a primary part c of aluminium or aluminium alloy and a part b of high quality material, such as silver, which is united with the primary part at least partly by welding in order to prevent oxide formation on the part a. The union may be made by autogenous or electric spot or seam welding, and the part b may be welded on as a layer or into a recess in the primary part a.
