[Class 83 (iv)] To prevent jamming due to dislodged fragments of scale or flux, the electrically conductive nozzle 10, having a curved passageway 11 whereby the coated metallic arc welding electrode 12 is directed into conductive engagement therewith, is provided with openings 13, 14 for discharge of the dislodged fragments independently of the passageway.
