579,862. Anti - dazzle device for spectacles &c. SEVERN, J. A. Feb. 19, 1945, No. 3017/44. [Class 97 (i)] In an anti-dazzle device for spectacles or goggles, opaque, semi-opaque or translucent upper and lower screens for each eye-piece are applied or arranged to be attached thereto, each upper screen having its bottom edge of inverted V formation and the lower screen spaced below it and of smaller area. As shown, the lower area 12 is of semicircular section. These areas may be painted on the lens, shields may be stuck on to the. lens or fitted in the rim 10, or areas of tinted glass, or masks may be detachably mounted thereon. The rims may have optical lenses or plain windows.
