Abstract

600,726. Spectacles, goggles, &c. DELCANHO, B. B. Oct. 20, 1944; No. 20378. [Class 97 (i)] Spectacles, goggles &c. having a substantially rigid rimless front portion comprise a bridge integral with the lenses or other eyepieces, and are composed of transparent material, which may be a synthetic resin. The eyepieces may consist of sheet material to which vitrous lenses are cemented. The front portion 10, Fig. 1, has the bridge 14 integral with the eyepieces 16, 18, and has side pieces 12 of the same transparent material, hinged to its opposite ends by U-shaped knuckles 24 integral with the front portion, and marginal portions 20, 22 bent inwards to form placquets below the bridge 14. In the case of goggles and eye screens the front portion may be of coloured transparent material and may have side wings. Reference has been directed by the Cornptroller' to Specifications 490,197, 518,333 and 569,134.
