Abstract

286,932. Taylor, H. D. Sept. 3, 1926. Spectacles; goggles. -An eye-screening arrangement for personal wear for use in the avoidance of dazzle by the lights of approaching vehicles consists of a spectacle frame in which the bridge is brought back so that the colour filters or screens are held about one inch away from the pupil of the eye. One part of the screen is transparent only to blue-green light and the other part to light substantially red. An additional screen or panel opaque to light may be fitted, together with one transparent to white light. The screens may be combined with lenses, Fig. 8, when the sight of the wearer needs correction and the blue-green screen may be divided as shown in Fig. 6, one being more transparent to extreme red light than the other to enable red danger signals to be observed.
