Abstract

480,600. Pneumatic - sucker fastenings. NEUMANN, G. Aug. 24, 1936, No. 23213. [Class 44] [Also in Group XX] Pneumatic suckers are used to attach spectacle lenses to the visors of gas-masks &c., sunglasses to spectacle lenses, or field glasses &c. to ordinary spectacles. Fig. 2 shows a lens 4 sprung into a groove in a resilient rubber frame 1 having a resilient flange 2 so that the whole arrangement forms a single pneumatic sucker. Fig. 3 shows a modification in which a relatively hard rubber frame 6 carries an integral soft rubber sucker of annular form and having two sealing edges 8, 9, along the inner and outer margins.
